piano man

I went to see Jon Schmidt last night with my piano teacher. He is a pianist and composer, started composing at age 11. It may seem strange that I would voluntarily pay to go see a pianist, but this guy is good. He's young and entertaining and not at all what I expected. He didn't wear a suit, he wore a t-shirt and pants. He did a Dana Carvey song about broccoli. He plays a mean piano, making good use of every key. He can get so many different sounds out of a single key. There has probably been plenty of people throughout history that have been able to do that but I think this guy has a little more fun with it.

it´s going to be so much fun at our old folks home. Metalica in room 1 Pixies in 2 the couple in 3 with Ramstein at full blast, the nursing staff going crasy.
Just becouse we get older it doesn´t mean we loose our taste in music we just start liking broader spectrum of music.
Hi Sean, i´ve seen you on "right of way" welcome to the basket. Emiliana just won the Icelandic music award for her latest album.

jay my husband tries so hard to hang onto the past. he refuses to get rid of his old stuff like moster vodoo machine or rage against the machine... why would he get rid of it its good music! but it is collecting dust because we never listen to it anymore. how could it explain it to my kids? do i really think "they" still owe me a living? if i dont then i guess i've sold out.

i think dagga's right...that we just like a broader spectrum. it takes time to discover all the music that's out there and as we live, we discover, so the older we get, the broader our musical taste. and there is so much music that is yet to made in our lifetime...
